The Program Does Not Find Your Flat File

Please check if the data transfer program requested a logical or a physical filename.

If you received the following message, “No physical file name can be determined for …”

• Check if the spelling used by F4 Help, to verify that the filename is available, was correct.
• If a logical filename has not been provided, create one.

Refer to the corresponding chapter 3, How To … Maintain Physical Filenames for Logical Filenames, for more information.

• If you receive a message saying the filename you entered could not be opened, ensure that the spelling is correct and that you specified the correct path.
• If the file is located in your working directory, do not specify a path.
• Ensure that your file is in the working directory.
• Refer to chapter 3, How To … Transfer the Example Flat Files to the Application Server, for assistance.
• Ensure that you are logged onto the right application server.
