Determine DIALOG STEPS PER HOUR

Use this simple process to aid in resizing an existing system. For example, if you are adding more users to an R/3 system, or introducing a new functional area, the sizing engineer will want to understand what the load looks like on the current system. One of the best ways to understand this load is to identify peak dialog steps processed per hour, as well as the number of dialog steps in a “typical” hour.

·        Login to the system via the SAPGUI or WebGUI.

·       Navigate to Tools – Administration – Monitor – Performance – Workload- Analysis ,  or execution Transaction ST03

·        Click the “Choose for Analysis” Button

·        Choose the server Name

·        Choose Time Period (to select your peak period)

·         At the next screen, select the type of work process you wish to analyze at the bottom of screen, or select all to see everything.

·        Choose “Time Profile” Button at the top of screen.
